My name is Eric Goodchild founder and head engineer here at Goodchild Engineering. I’m an electrical engineering student with a lot to learn. I started in electronics at the age of 10, but have been building and taking things apart all my life. I’m fascinated with the way things work. If I don’t know how something works I make a point at finding out. Some of the first things I built were model airplanes. At the age of 8 I got my first Lego robotics kit in which I learned much from. At the age of 10 I started to experiment with my own robot designs. I also joined a local FIRST Robotics club in high school to further my knowledge in robotics. During my Junior year in high school I started into my current and favorite hobby, High Voltage. I’ve built everything from Jacob’s Ladders to Tesla Coils. Most of my devices make use of high power solid state electronics commonly found in industrial applications. I am currently attending Arizona State University at the Polytechnic campus getting my Electrical Engineering Degree. |
